My little naughty yorkie had been refused to be cut at 2 other places and Karen sees him no problem. She is very knowledgeable and always knows the answers to my questions and happy to help me with other dog related problems. She has also given me advice which calmed & changed his behaviour. I really cant put into words how brilliant she is! She has made life easier for me and my little dog. He always looks so smart after his visit & also smells wonderful for days after !! The best around I'm so glad she was recommended to me.

I’ve come away very happy every time and Karen has always been very friendly and caring towards my pets and other pets during appointment crossovers. After doing a general search on Google, found this lady as wanted someone who worked from their own home as less stressy for my dog that way. AMAZING she is just a super lovely lady and has such a calming way with animals, especially highly strung ones like my girly. When I collected her she looked much better than after any other grooming session and trust me we have been to many! Wished I would of known of Karens Snip Clip N Chip years ago as think she could of made what is a very essential part of a dogs life, into something maybe even pleasurable. Cannot recommend this lady enough, she has a magic way about her.

2 very over grown springers a huge challenge as not visited the groomer in over a year due to lockdown. Both working dogs the bitch has a cruciate injury and the dog is quite nervous of new things. These obstacles were overcome by Karen and a fantastic job they came out looking and smelling fantastic. Will definitely go back again and can't recommend highly enough.

Karen sorted the trim on our 30kg pooch with what she told us was relative ease, and the finished trim was great it made our ginger rug look a lot tidier and she did smell a LOT better. We will leave our ginger baby there for a wash and trim again without doubt.

We found Karen a year ago and have never looked back. Grooming Ted, our crossbreed springer/poodle, had always been problematic as he is quite a nervous dog but Karen managed the impossible and is without doubt, an expert in her field. She takes as much time as necessary, washes, clips and even manages to pluck his ears. Seeing Ted so comfortable to be left is wonderfully reassuring. Calm and caring with an extraordinary understanding of animals we are so grateful to have found her....and Ted has never looked better!

Being a lockdown puppy Leo at 8 months hasn’t met a lot of people! Karen was amazing with him and he was picked up after an hours pampering smelling divine! His coat was beautiful and he was so calm.

Karen first groomed my toy poodle when he was a puppy two years ago and after a bad experience that he had with some very well known pet grooming store.I was surprised that she took time to get to know the dog first and make him feel comfortable with the grooming.She also message me half way to let me know how he is doing.two years later and owner of three poodles now I have to say that my dogs love Karen.they are always so happy to see her and her dogs.
Grooming is a very relaxed experience for them ,no anxiety issues.very happy when they arriving and happy and posh looking when they are leaving
Karen is very professional and always there to advise how should I keep my dogs coat perfect , ears clean etc ... Couldn’t ask for more

Amazing with frightened dogs

I have used Karen for over 9 years for all of my rescue dogs. Today, Karen went above and beyond all expectations with our new dog Breeze. Breeze is a rescue who has suffered serious neglect and abuse and is traumatised as a result. She is so frightened of humans and hands in particular that she wees and poos herself when handled. We had to wrap her in a towel to transport her to Karen to have her extremely matted fur removed. Karen spoke softly to Breeze and handled her gently and confidently. A lifetime of matted fur was cut away so Breeze can see and move properly, earning Karen a few little licks of gratitude from Breeze who was obviously feeling better as this was all removed. Breeze had been itching and scratching herself incessantly before being groomed and has not at all since. She is running around wagging her tail. We are so grateful and cannot recommend Karen more.

I have been going to Karen's for a couple of years now with my older shih tzu and have always been more than pleased with her haircut, she always looks beautiful. Today I to my 4 month old shih tzu to get his first ever haircut. I couldn't believe how beautiful he looks. Karen sent me some photos of him as she was cutting him and he was just lying there all calm and sleepy, He is not normally like that when I brush him. So thank you Karen I think you are a marvel. A genuinely nice customer experience. Friendly consultation when I arrived made me feel like a valued customer and my dog was made to feel relaxed and at home with the environment before any work began. The groom on my Border Collie took approximately 1 1/2 hours and I was kept up to date by text shortly before he was ready for collecting. The natural herbal products used has left my dog with a shining coat and a nice smell. With his thick winter coat now trimmed off he’s much happier and enjoying summer.

Mollie had her first full groom with Karen. Karen made us feel very at ease. She took time before the groom to talk to us and find out exactly what we wanted and also gave us tips on how best to groom Mollie on a daily basis. When we went to pick Mollie up, she was happy and bouncy and playing. The area is very secure and they can play and feel at ease. We were very happy with the grooming. I took my elderly springer Denzil to see Karen, he had a stroke a couple of months ago and he really needed the full works! Karen did all that I asked of her and more, at a very reasonable price, I was so happy with what she had done with Denzil he looked fantastic! What I was also very impressed with was how very happy he was when I came to collect him, it was obvious Denzil had enjoyed every moment of his pamper time. I would highly recommend Karen to everyone, she did a fab job, and Denzil will be going back to Karen.

Mini Schnautzer pup

Looking after my daughter's puppy while she was on holiday he was desperate for a clip. Karen was fantastic - he was very overgrown and she managed to turn him into a Schnautzer! The atmosphere was very calming as she had two of her pet dogs in situ which Digby was very happy about.
When we collected him she explained he had a skin problem probably caused by his long hair and the heat and she was able to sell me some amazing spray called Leucillin which is free from chemicals and doesn't sting. After just two days usage , three times a day, his skin is almost completely better - so well worth the cost.
I would highly recommend Karen.

I was recommended to Karen for my young, small cross breed dog to be groomed. She's quite booked up (a good sign!) but kindly contacted me earlier with a changed appointment. I felt very happy leaving Bear there as it was secure and friendly environment. Karen was knowledgeable and contentious and Bear looked and smelt brilliant when I picked him up. I found Karen on Google. Little bit nervous as my tiny dog had never had a hair cut. As soon as we got there I felt totally at ease. Karen did all she could to help out when i was let down by another salon ( for the 2nd time )- even getting us in earlier than planned after an unexpected cancellation. Despite her cost being the same ( as paid in the past ), the level of grooming was at a totally superior level and very much reflected the request agreed in advance. It was clear she takes great pride in her work and money is not the reason she is doing the job. The free pens were a nice touch and better quality than most freebies you get as well- details on them mean i will not go anywhere else BUT book early is my advice as Karen is likely to be VERY popular with her clients.

We had our pup foxy booked in today. We were quite worried about leaving her as she's a little nervous around strangers and other dogs. When we picked her up she looked and smelt lovely. I recently rescued a very scared, shut down Shih Tzu. Lola has come from a puppy farm where she has been used as a breeding machine. She has been mistreated and consequently she has no trust in humans at all.
I take my other two Shih Tzus to Karen for their regular haircut and I asked if Lola could come along with them to see what goes on. Karen was extremely patient and kind to Lola and said she would see what she could do. Later when I went to pick up my girls, Lola was sat on the table with Karen trimming her face.....she could finally see properly without her hair being in her eyes!!! Karen and I agreed that we would have to try and cut Lola's hair in stages to avoid her becoming stressed with the situation so I made an appointment for Lola to go back to Karen in a fortnights time.
The big day came and I dropped Lola off to Karen again to see what she could do. I was amazed when I received a message from Karen later telling me that she had managed to clipper all Lola's hair and even tidy up the hair on her feet. When I went to pick her up she looked like a different dog. Since getting her home she seems so much happier now she doesn't have all that hair!!!
What Karen has done for Lola is simply remarkable. She took her time and was so patient with her, making sure not to stress her out. I cannot praise Karen enough for how amazing she is. I would recommend her to anyone, especially if you have a dog who is frightened. She will never push the animal or put them in a situation where they are scared or anxious.

I took my 8 month puppy for his first cut today, his coat was very long and unfortunately I hadn't been brushing him correctly as he had some matting. Karen really took the time to make sure it was an enjoyable experience for him. when I collected him, he was in great spirits and the cut he received was great. Karen gave me some great advice on how to maintain his coat and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a groomer that is efficient and that genuinely cares for her furry clients.

I have tried a few salons before and my dogs always get so stressed going into a salon atmosphere. Going to karens is so lovely for them it's a relaxed home atmosphere with a lovely secure garden they have their own space in where she grooms .

Even tho I turned up way too early, they made me feel very welcome, as for my baby boy (diesel) he was so matted and in desperate need of attention. Upon collection diesel was groomed to perfection! Calm contented and to be honest did look like he wanted to leave! Excellent personal service to me but absolutely outstanding service and treatment of my boy! Would recommend to all in a heart beat!

We met Karen recently and introduced our puppy Bedlington Terrier to see her for a trim, shape, wash and dry etc. We were so pleased to meet Karen. he was extremely nice and professional, and took lots of time and trouble to discuss our requirements and advise us and make our puppy feel completely relaxed and happy before she started on her. We left our puppy with Karen looking something like a raggy upturned floormop, (haha) where all her puppy fur was growing out and badly needed trimming and shaping; and returned 90 mins later to find an absolutely beautiful looking puppy, beautifully trimmed and shaped to highlight her features and really show her off.And she smelled absolutely gorgeous too, with Karens' dog cologne on her! Now, instead of people seeing a Rastafarian on legs, people now recognise her as a Bedlington! And more importantly she obviously felt marvellous too, because she was so happy and dancing around, bless her, as though she knew she looked good too! Also, Karen had kept the pieces she had groomed out of her feet and ears to show us what she had done. Altogether a very professional and relaxed and caring grooming parlour, where dogs are not just shut in cages for hours on end, like in some larger grooming organisations.
Karen gives a one-to-one care, one dog at a time, but if you have more than one dog and wish to take them all together to be done, she can accommodate this in an extremely clean and sterile run, just next to the grooming room, so the dogs don't feel stressed and pine.
All in all an excellent experience, and we are so pleased to have found Karen, and know that our dogs will now look and feel beautiful in good caring hands, not stressing, and will be well taken care of.

I've just collected my beautifully cut Springer Spaniel & we're over the moon with her, she looks absolutely amazing thanks to Karen! (Smells great too!) She also had her toe nails clipped and anal glands drained & still came out with a wag in her tail! Took my puppy to Karen for the first time after being recommended. I am so happy I did, as Karen did an amazing job. He came out looking gorgeous & smelling lovely, with an even softer coat than before. Karen listened to me & styled him exactly as we discussed. She also made us feel very welcome and is so friendly. When I picked him up he was so relaxed wandering round in a special enclosed area outside, which I thought was brilliant compared to being shut in a cage to wait, which is what usually happens!! Am sticking with Karen for sure.

Both of my Westies were in a poor condition when I walked them through the door, after a lovely chat with Karen about the dogs I left them, when I returned they looked like puppies again! She had done such an amazing job on both of my dogs, the cut, ears and nails - she did such a great job and such a lovely lady, I shall definitely be returning with my dogs.

Very sympathetic groomer to the older dog who fully understands the aches and pains we all experience with age. If you are hesitating on using Karen's services DON'T wonderful job and one happy pooch.

I had become suspicious that my previous groomers were not being as kind and patient with my dog as they should have been! So I decided to give a different groomer a try. Karen was recommended to me, so I took my dog along to meet her today. We talked at length about my dog and she made me feel very comfortable that she knew her stuff and would be kind and patient. She said she would take things at my dogs pace, with a view to building up the trust and would stop if she thought she'd had enough. So I wasn't expecting everything to be done on the first visit. I got a text half way through, letting me know that everything was going well, then an hour or so later I got a text saying she was done! When I came to collect, my Dog looked and smelt beautiful and was really chilled and calm - not rushing to leave, like before! I will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend Karen.

Having done Cocker Spaniel and American Cocker Spaniel rescue for over 35 years we have experienced many many groomers in that time. Just moved to Poole the other week and needed a new groomer for our ACS Taylor who is a rescued ex breeding bitch who sadly came to me in a right state in Oct 2013. I had been having to take her to the vets each time to have her sedated/completely put out, to have her nails and feet done, which is very extreme way of doing things but Taylor would get so distraught it was heart breaking to see. So I googled groomers in my area and Karens Snip Clip N Chip was my nearest, so thought here we go ..... Phoned Karen she said she had a end of day appt the next day, so we took it. We arrived parked right outside, walked the level walk into her back garden which really is like a magic kingdom and she could charge an entrance fee :-) ...... We told Karen to just ignore her feet totally as the vet can do them, but if she wanted to have a go then she was welcome to try..... we left Taylor in Karens hands and went home to wait for the cal to say come and collect. Karen bless her knew we were anxious for her and texted us an hour or so later to say all going really well :-))))))) ... When we got the she is ready come and get her call we raced over and were met by the most perfectly groomed furbaby including ... oh yes indeedy .... her feet and nails ........ Mum and I could of kissed this women who had suceeded where so many had failed... AMAZING ...... So if your humming and harring whether to give Karen a try with your special family member .. do so with no hesitation as the women is fantastic and I will recommend Karens Snip Clip N Chip every chance I get. We rescued our American bulldog tilly from the rspa. She desperately needed a bath and her nails cutting. Karen was really friendly and offered a professional service. I would highly recommend her. We plan to use karen's services on a regular basis.

Opie has had cuts at one other groomers (now closed) this had left him anxious and wary for the next visit, I rang Karen and explained and we made an appointment. She was extremely caring and aware of the problems we'd had before and dealt with Opie in a loving and patient way. On collection I had a gorgeously smart dog who was confident and happy. He ran between myself and Karen wanting to be fussed!! We will definitely be back.

My human said I needed a haircut, so off we went to see Karen who was really nice to me and let me roam around the garden instead of putting me in a crate. Karen kept my human informed of how I was settling in and being pampered. I now feel so clean and lovely and can't wait to see all my friends in the park with my new look. Spotted Karen on the internet and thought we'd give her a try after several disappointing sessions,( with our long haired Saluki cross), at other groomers. Really glad we did. Well after a recommendation from a friend took our 17 month Spaniel 'Charlie' as he was looking a bit of a scuff . Dropped him off and all was well he seemed ok.. So going back about 1.5hrs later to find a handsome chap in his place, as they scrubbed up well. Many thanks to Karen who is a really friendly person and has many dogs herself .. Will be going back that is for sure.. highly recommend to other 1st timers.

Many thanks to the lady at White Cliffs who recommended Karens snip clip n chip for our little Sprocker Evie's grooming. We took her to Karen in some trepidation as she had become very agitated when being groomed due to a bad experience. Meeting Karen & seeing how well Evie responded to her allayed all our worries. We were really happy to leave Evie with her & we returned a couple of hours later to find her sitting very relaxed & happy in the sun with Karen in her garden. !! Did she look good ? The only other thing that gets my dogs this excited is dinnertime. They love coming to Karen for a shampoo and set, manicure and generl pampering. Other groomers that I have used have left the dogs incredibly stressed and sleepy with no appetite ( some have been known to tranquilize the animals) Karens efficient and compassionate approach to grooming ensures a very happy time is had by all. My dogs wuld book in weekly if I let them! Thankyou Karen

We've just moved to the area and needed a groomer for our Springer, Meg. We were encouraged by the excellent reviews that Karen has received and booked the dog in. We were delighted with absolutely everything and Karen was even able to reverse the long-lasting impact of a groomer we had once used who had tried to make a Springer look like a Pointer. Meg's ears are now how they should be! If you are looking for a groomer who asks you what you want and who then delivers efficiently whilst offering good value for money, look no further than Karen. (When we got home, my wife actually said: 'I can't believe how beautiful you look!'. Sadly, she wasn't referring to me!) Karen comes highly recommended.

Caring, gentle and thorough. We used to think our previous groomer was excellent but karen puts her to shame. Our Jet has come back from Karen with the smoothest most even cut she has ever had, clean teeth, tidy clean ears - even had all the knots in her paws sorted. Absolutely fantastic. She gave Jet a chance to settle into her surroundings and get to know her so she felt safe. Absolutely delighted with Karens service - it is 5 star! It was obvious that Jet enjoyed the experience too.
